strobe light.

i was driving home last night in the storm, which was very exciting. the lightening was so often and so fast... the sky reminded me of a strobe light. it was beautiful.

i absolutely love car rides. and i was listening to coldplay, which made things even better. i was listening to "fix you," which felt like the perfect song for the time being.

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

-coldplay

my depravity is becoming more and more real to me.
this is a beautiful challenge. :)

i am leaving in 9 days and will not return until august 4,
so i won't be updating this until then. (not like i update
much anyway. hah) you can read about my adventures
in vietnam on my new blog.

love you all,
mallory kiersten

i love you so much.
and i haven't seen you in so much time, and i'm not sure how we could let something like that happen.

i'm so excited for your summer and i want to hear about it all, even the stuff that maybe you wouldn't tell everyone. i want to know it.

gosh, you are great.

oh where do i even start? frick. i love you and miss you, and wish i had more time to update by blog, but i'll confess i've just been checking for comments, and all 3 (Total) and from my faithful friend, mal. haha.

i promise to update soon, but we're just SOOO busy working from sunrise to WAY past sunset. it's exhausting, but beautiful.

i am learning that i've put far too much faith in the world and in people, and it's a hard lesson, one of tears, one of sleepless nights, one that that "fix you" perfectly explains, but a good one. a true lesson.

so many stories to share though. can't wait to hear yours and mel's too.

please know that i am praying for you and your heart and that God is preparing you so much for what you will encounter in vietnam. i am SOOO excited for you. please know that you're on my heart and in my thoughts, and i am going to pick up your little african birthday present at a shop in the city soon! (probably this weekend, actually). i already know what it shall be. :)

yay.

if i don't get another chance to say it before you leave, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

God is wholy beautiful, and wholy holy.
